NRLM
Empowering women through Self Help Groups and skill development
National Rural Livelihood Mission for SHG Women
DAY-NRLM is the Government of India livelihood mission that organises rural poor women into strong community institutions and supports them with savings, loan assistance, livelihood skills and enterprise opportunities. In Uttar Pradesh, this mission is implemented through the state livelihood mission and district-level systems, while RSETI adds hands-on training and enterprise support for SHG members.
Mission Objective
Every rural poor household gets a pathway to self-employment and dignity.
The mission approach is community-led: women come together, build trust through regular savings, access formal finance, learn skills, and gradually move towards sustainable livelihoods.

Uttar Pradesh's official state portal lists 75 districts, giving SHG and livelihood programmes a large rural outreach base.
Uttar Pradesh State Rural Livelihood Mission is the state-level institution for DAY-NRLM implementation.
Implementation connects national DAY-NRLM guidelines with Uttar Pradesh departments, districts, blocks and community institutions.

Begin regular meetings, collective savings and transparent bookkeeping.
Use internal lending for urgent needs and small livelihood activities.
Grade the group and link it with banks for larger working capital.
Provide skill training, enterprise planning and post-training handholding.
Connect members with government schemes, markets and digital systems.
How RSETI Firozabad connects with NRLM
RSETI focuses on practical training and settlement support. For SHG women, this means moving from community mobilisation to skill training, business readiness and income generation.
Data and scheme description should be cross-checked with official portals because mission reports are updated over time.
Fund support, credit limits, interest assistance and eligibility can vary by current mission guidelines, bank appraisal, group grading and state instructions.
